Head of Technical Services
£50,000 + Bonus + Full Benefits
Nr Huddersfield – Hybrid working.
This is a fantastic opportunity for you, an experienced Head of Technical Services, to join a thriving IT and Telecoms MSP; to head up all areas of the technical operation for internal and external clients, including Pre-sales, Support, and the design of appropriate strategies for maximum success in these areas.
As the Head of Technical Services, your key responsibilities will include:
Identify SLAs and daily/weekly/monthly KPIs, ensuring they are maintained and reported on.
Deliver the journey from pre-sales through to design and installation of new systems for our customers.
Produce technical sales proposals and present the technical aspect of those proposals to the customer, giving clear evidence as to how their business needs will be met.
Assist in creating project plans for implementation of technical solutions for client and manage projects through to going live, ensuring all is delivered on time and to budget.
Manage both yourself and your reporting departments to ensure the delivery of each client's specific requirements, remote and/or on-site.
Identify potential new products and services, evaluate, and negotiate costs with suppliers ensuring that the best value is achieved for products that will truly benefit our customers.
Manage engineering resources and day-to-day customer technical support to ensure solutions are provided quickly, enabling the customer to achieve their business goals without hinderance. This includes offering 3rd Line support and, when needed, assisting the technical departments at other levels.
Ensuring the IT and Telco departments complete and close customer support tickets in line with SLAs, company procedures and display excellent customer service.
Continually look for ways to improve the way IT and Telco services are offered and delivered to customers such that we remain ahead of the field and retain our preferred supplier status.
Ensure technical audits are completed correctly and in a timely/scheduled/structured manner for customers and on request for new opportunities.
Ensure timely completion of all administrative documentation to ensure our internal processes remain correct and up to date.
Work closely with all individuals on the SLT to improve business process.
Ensure that every team member has a role to play in achieving set goals and targets.
In order to be successful in your application for the Head of Technical Services, you should:
Experience in management with a track record of success.
Strong B2B IT experience.
Strong hands-on technical skills and relevant qualifications.
Experience of designing and delivering large scale server infrastructure projects.
Experience in network design and security protocols, including firewall management.
Excellent communicator who can deliver clear and articulate information to customers and colleagues.
Experience of delivering pre-sales proposals.
Ability to motivate and drive a team's success.

Hold a Full UK driving license and willingness to travel as part of the role.
