Helpdesk Support Technician
Type: Contract
Day Rate: Competitive
Location: Galway
We are seeking an experienced IT Support Contractor to join our clients team based in Galway. The successful candidate will provide technical support to our clients employees, ensuring that their systems are maintained and their IT infrastructure runs smoothly.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical support for software and hardware issues, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
Install and configure software and hardware, including operating systems, applications, and peripherals
Troubleshoot network connectivity issues
Maintain and manage user accounts, email accounts, and security groups
Provide training and support to employees on various IT systems and applications
Monitor and maintain backups of critical data
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including updates and patches
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in IT support
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications
Experience with Active Directory, Exchange, and SharePoint
Experience with networking technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
Relevant IT certifications preferred
