Farnborough, Hampshire (1-2 days per week remote / WFH options)
Hybrid Cloud Architect required by a thriving cutting-edge technology company providing on-premise and cloud secure by design solutions in to the Defence & Security Sector. As a Hybrid Cloud Architect, do you feel as comfortable running VMs in on-premise, security constrained environments as you do in spinning up environments from a hyperscale cloud provider environment? Do you appreciate that public cloud isn’t the answer to all of technologies’ questions? Are you a tinkerer able to lab and POC new technologies while also able to draw beautiful diagrams? Do you want to work in an organisation working on latest technologies and incorporating solutions in an innovative way? Are you ready to learn about Secure by Design methodologies from a company working in National Security & Defence?

* Starting salary of £100,000 – £120,000 per year depending on experience

What you will need
* VMware or equivalent on-premise Infrastructure (Hypervisors, SDNs, Storage)
* Hyperscale Cloud provider Infrastructure (e.g. either Azure, AWS or GCP)
* Creating and adapting infrastructure architectures and concepts to High Level and Low Level Designs
* Eligibility and willingness to undergo Security Clearance to DV Level (Developed Vetting)
Nice to have / Desirable skills
* Infrastructure Automation and Orchestration technologies (e.g. Ansible, Terraform etc.)
* Single Sign-On and Identity federation technologies (e.g. SAML, oAuth 2.0, OIDC)
* Platform as a Service (PaaS) offerings e.g. managed Kubernetes (e.g. VMware Tanzu, AKS, EKS)
