The IFS Functional Analyst role is based within our Babcock Corporate Services (BCS) business unit

Babcock Corporate Services (BCS) is a global function, with our largest site being Lakeside in Portsmouth, but we operate from multiple sites around the world. BCS supplies and operates all IT, security, procurement, and finance Shared Services. We are embedded alongside the operations that we serve, enabling us to maintain close working relationships that support delivery to our customers. We drive standardisation, simplification and automation across Babcock, to help generate sustainable value for the group and our external customers

The role

The difference our new IFS Functional Analyst will make

As an IFS Functional Analyst, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. With your skillsets and expertise, you'll be playing a key role in identifying areas for process and system improvements, including quantifying potential business.

Day to day, you'll take responsibility for business analysis services across Babcock's IFS estate, defining and understanding the clients' business process, functions, and data. You'll be working closely with our product owners, stakeholders, and subject matter experts by recommending appropriate options and defining priority.

This role can be performed from any Babcock Hub and includes home working arrangements. Therefore, you'll be ideally within suitable travel distance of any UK Babcock Hub.

Essential experience

IFS Functional experience is required (Finance, HR, P&SC, Maintenance etc)
IT HND/bachelor's Degree level or hold relevant experience in Business/Systems/Functional Analysis
Possess broad understanding of business and business activities with deep knowledge in at least one area of specialisation
Demonstrate a systematic, disciplined analytical approach to problem solving
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must hold or have ability to obtain SC security clearanceWhat we offer
