Job Description

A brand-new opportunity has arisen for you to utilise your informatics and analytical skills in a role where you will be responsible for creating new reporting tools and techniques to ensure that the department is maximising its use of technologies.

In the Information Analyst role, you will be:

Analysing and interpreting complex data to produce detailed and concise reports
Using complex statistical techniques to translate abstract and bespoke datasets into meaningful reports
Completing advanced statistical procedures such as regression analysis, confidence intervals, statistical process control and sensitivity analysis
Undertake complex geographical analysis on a range of datasets using relevant GIS and mapping software
Communicate complex statistical techniques to non-Informatics staff to ensure that complex messages are fully understood
Reviewing and quality assure new and existing elements of data infrastructure such as stored procedures, SQL scripts and reports
Ensuring that all technical documentation is up to date and that complex processes around data extraction, loading and migration are fully documented in a simple, transparent, and understandable manner
To be considered for the Information Analyst role you must have:

Hold a degree in numerate / informatics, Science, Technology, Maths or an equivalent qualifications, knowledge, or experience
Ability to evidence experience of Windows PC and server operating systems
Knowledge and understanding of SQL and skilled in database, application or web development using a suitable IDE and programming
Previous experience working in an information analysis environment and in producing complex reports
Excellent interpersonal, negotiating and influencing skills
Experience of developing strategies, business cases, policies and task specific standard operating procedures relating to Performance
Experience of developing and delivering training tools and programmes
Ability to be flexible and work across North Wales
This is a fantastic temporary vacancy for the period of around 4 months with the possibility of being extended or to become permanent for the right candidate.  The role is full time working 37.5 hours from Monday to Friday, in return you will receive an hourly pay rate of £18.00 per hour plus holiday pay.
