Information Security Assurance Analyst

£40,000 – £45,000 per annum + car allowance

Hybrid – 2 days per week in either Horley/Portsmouth/Edinburgh office depending on location

We are representing an award-winning energy company as they embark on a 5 year long transformation of their IT Security team as funded by OFGEM. The role is based in either Horley, or Portsmouth, depending on your location. This role is integral to the business, so there is huge opportunity for learning, developing, and progressing your career.

We are looking for an Information Security Assurance Analyst who will 'fly the flag' for Information Security, providing assurance to the leadership team regarding the design and operating effectiveness of IT security controls within future IT projects and implementation. You will be responsible for reviewing and identifying security control gaps in design documents, providing recommendations for amendments and mitigation.

In order to be a successful candidate, you will need:

Expertise in Cloud (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) in particular AWS and Azure
Experience of reviewing design documents, identifying security gaps and making recommendations
Knowledge of technology risk and controls including relevant tools and techniques
Must have 1 – 2 years' cyber security experience.
