Avanti Recruitment are working with a well-known Software company located in Reading who are a service provider who develops high-quality applications as well as delivering on-premise and hosted solutions for some of the largest organizations in the UK.

As the Infrastructure Engineer, you will provide support for on-premise and hosted SaaS installations. You will also get to work with the development team so this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has a love for technology and wants to work in a talented team. Part of this role will require you and the team to do site visits when necessary, this is usually delivering hardware and building it up ready for installation or any maintenance (all expenses paid for).

A typical day will consist of:

* Installations and deployment of fixes/patches

* Taking ownership of your own workloads such as internal escalations or complex related issues to their hosted customers

* Maintaining regular communication with both end users and colleagues. You will be keeping case notes of all interactions with customers

* Have an understanding of Linux based technologies

* Deployment of Application virtualization technologies
