Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Dublin (Hybrid, Flexible Working)

Salary: €50-55k p/a plus benefits

Working with an Irish-owned software development firm that develops software solutions for business in Healthcare and Aviation market sectors. They supply mobile and web-based RFID applications to hospitals and airlines. The client has a requirement for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join their small team in Dublin.

Duties:

Owning fault diagnosis and resolution
Building and maintaining Oracle PAAS instances
Installing and maintaining physical servers
Setting up and monitoring security logs
Setting up and maintaining email and ftp accounts
Improving business systems through finding solutions to technical issues
Escalating support issues to management and taking ownership until resolutionRequirements:

A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar operational role on production systems
Strong knowledge of current desktop and server hardware and technologies
Strong diagnostic knowledge of Microsoft operating systems from installation to configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of latest Windows desktop and server operating systems
Understanding of networking principles (LANs, WANs, configurations for Routers and Switches
Knowledge of cloud and network securityDesirable criteria:

Microsoft, VMWare or CISCO certifications
Knowledge of Linux operating system
Good understanding of firewall & load balancer concepts/technologies
Experience with Oracle cloud portal
