Infrastructure Engineer – Dudley up to £40K

We are seeking a skilled and experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in the education sector. To help the infrastructure manager maintain and expand the college network, you will have the chance to help with the execution of the college's IT strategy while collaborating with the Head of IT Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the IT infrastructure of our educational organization, including servers and networking systems. The ideal candidate should be a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement IT infrastructure solutions, including servers, networks, storage, and security systems
Manage and maintain servers, networks, storage, and security systems
Install, configure, and maintain server operating systems and applications
Monitor and troubleshoot network and server performance issues
Provide technical support and guidance to end-users
Ensure that the IT infrastructure is compliant with industry standards and regulations
Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans
Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of IT infrastructure with other systems
Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in the field of IT infrastructureRequirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
3+ years of experience in technical IT management, infrastructure design, implementation, and maintenance, with a focus on servers and networking
Strong knowledge of network protocols, server hardware, operating systems, and virtualization technologies
Experience with cloud-based infrastructure solutions (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
Knowledge of IT security best practices and compliance standards (ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, HIPAA)
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Relevant certifications such as CCNA, MCSE, or AWS Solutions Architect are a plus.
