This role involves leading a team of experienced Solution Architects, Infrastructure Engineers and Automation Engineers who create and maintain Technical Roadmaps and deliver a sizeable Portfolio of Business and Infrastructure projects. The pace of change primarily around Cloud Technologies means there is a need for strong and formalised architecture, support and governance processes spanning on premise and cloud solutions.
Chair and manage the inputs and outputs of the Technical Design Authority, which all IS projects need to pass through, ensuring governance is adhered to and exceptions are managed.
Ensure compliance with the clients Enterprise Architecture by working closely with the Enterprise Architects.
Develop and maintain Technical Roadmaps for each Technical domain.
Influence change to new and existing IT systems by questioning solutions and suppliers in order to achieve the best outcomes.
Manage a team of Senior technical experts in the field and mentor and develop others to achieve technical excellence.
Conduct performance development reviews, coaching, recruitment and retention and training for staff under your direct management.
Demonstrate technical leadership across the IS department, forming strong relationships with your peers in Application Development, Operations, Project Management and Information Security helping to shape the overall direction of the Technology.
Deliver all of the technical aspects of the Portfolio of projects on time and in budget.
To attend meetings with internal clients and external companies representing the department as and when required.
Assume the role of Product Manager for Azure and lead Cloud Strategy to build a single Cloud and Automation team
To always maintain data and to follow Data Protection guidance and departmental policies and procedures.
