Business Analyst with experience of supporting the implementation of a TMS (Transport Management System), ideally with exposure to Tier 1 suppliers (eg Oracle OTM, Manhattan etc.) is required for our Global FMCG/Retail client.
The successful Business Analyst will be joining right at the beginning of the project. Our client has already run through several high-level demonstrations with TMS providers for a solution linked to the First Mile and Last Mile deliveries.
The Business Analyst will be responsible for supporting the discovery, business case and scoping phase by conducting workshops with supply-chain operations and IT teams in gathering high-level functional and non-functional requirements and deeper level requirements asking questions like: what do you want the TMS system to do , how do you expect the system to work , what processes do you need to align with the new system ; running through RFI/RFP/RFQ tendering and vendor selection processes, and assisting with cost analysis (eg anticipated number of users for licensing), to gain signoff by the board. Once approved, more detailed analysis and the implementation phase can commence.
Business Analysts applying must have proven experience of having supported the delivery of at least one recent multi-country or multi-site TMS project within a 3PL, Logistics, Warehousing or Supply-Chain environment and must be willing to travel to European countries to qualify.
Business Analysts must have confident business, stakeholder, and IT engagement skills with a logical, pragmatic, and proactive self-starter attitude. Someone who can prioritise multiple items and deliver at pace with a sleeves rolled-up approach in a remote working setting.
Business Analysts should require minimal supervision and be used to collaborating in an agile style project delivery environment where clear communication and simplicity is essential.
Business Analysts must have tactful soft interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate articulately across a range of departments and levels of seniority, particularly when managing expectations across IT and supply-chain operational departments that involve multiple company brands across multiple countries and cultures.
This position is remote working and because European travel is required, applicants can be based in the UK or Ireland, Germany, Netherlands, Poland, Italy or Czech Republic but must already have rights to work and travel freely without the need for sponsorship.
