My global charity client is looking for a Business Systems Manager to lead and manage the portfolio of business facing IT systems, applications and data, delivering systems & application support (directly or indirectly), data management, reporting services and implementing upgrades or new functionality.
Liaising with stakeholders across various divisions, you will work to improve systems and functionality using hands on technical skills, or work with suppliers to ensure systems, applications and reports are fit for purpose and supported.
* To lead the portfolio of business facing IT systems, applications and data * To engage with the IT Team and users in providing Subject Matter Expertise (SME) on the IT business systems, data and applications, application portfolio and application support. Where required providing direct technical support. * Ensuring the necessary business systems and data audit processes and requests are followed for end of year Finance audits, Cyber Essentials (or higher) or to maintain PCI/DSS accreditation * Oversee the performance, stability, resilience and availability of business systems, applications and data and be responsible for the support, sustainability, and new solutions by working across the business and assessing stakeholder needs * To setup and lead the Business Systems and Data user group; with the EPOS supplier, play an active lead contribution in the retail EPOS User Group.
The ideal candidate: * Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical staff and excellent customer relationship, verbal and written communication skills * Ability to work on own initiative, in collaboration with other team members and with other stakeholders from within the end user community * Well organised, able to work to tight deadlines, schedule/prioritise work effectively and provide realistic estimates of time required for work * A positive champion and representative of IT *
Desirable skills and qualifications
* Microsoft SQL Server Skills and the ability to run reports and queries * Good understanding of File and Folder structures, along with Data flows, roadmaps, API's & integrations, reports and data (i.e., databases or tables) * Workflows and Data Management techniques * Experience working in an MS Windows, virtualised and cloud environment (on premise, hosted and/or cloud). * Good understanding of Web, Mobile Applications (IOS and Android), technology trends and developments * Previous exposure to Logistics or Retail systems would be advantageous
