Job Title: Data Analyst
Location: Amersham, Bucks, HP7
Salary: 38k-40k per annum
Plus 6 days a month from home – Parking onsite – Brand new offices – Flexible Start time
You will be responsible for maintaining and reporting on data stored across our clients head office /estate, as well as supporting our systems (multi-channel, EPOS plus other hosted servers and data stores). You will act as a key contact in handing over IT projects to the support function, including training of IT Support staff and key business users.
This role will require a bright and enthusiastic individual who has a proven track record of working in a data reporting team supporting all areas of the business.
Perform ongoing data analysis and scheduled reporting ensuring data integrity.
Create documentation to support handover of projects.
Liaise with the wider support team regarding new projects and installations.
Report writing/provision of management information, both scheduled and ad-hoc.
Provide database and systems support for hosted information servers.
Work closely with the IT business team to ensure smooth transition and implementation of new and improved systems.
Assist in the training of end users and IT support team.
Take an active part in Peak Support & extra reporting commitments.
Take an active part in wider IT support escalation processes as required, including some out of hours support.
Liaise with Project Managers regarding system testing of new projects.
Informing various stakeholders about any problems with the current technical solutions being implemented.
Researching current and emerging technologies and proposing changes where needed.
Skills & Experience
Able to download data from multiple systems including Microsoft SQL Server and the ability to manipulate data and use OLAP services
Previous experience of data analysis.
Great attention to detail whilst analysing and reconciling data.
Ideally Microsoft SQL skills and/or Microsoft qualification.
Comfortable training end users and technical staff in the use of systems.
