IT Field Engineer (Field, Engineer, Windows, On-site, IT, Support, Active Directory, LAN, WAN, Network, Imaging) – Permanent – Harrow

Charles Simon Associates are currently looking for an IT Field Engineer on a permanent basis for a large UK business based out of Harrow. This role will consist of travel to other sites.

Location: Harrow (with travel to other sites in North London)

Salary: £27,000 – £29,000 Per Annum

Skills/Requirements for the IT Field Engineer:

* Previous experience as a Field Engineer

* Strong Windows operating systems experience around Windows 7/10

* Hardware support including Printers, Scanners, PC’s and Laptops

* Experience of both Imaging PC’s and Laptops

* Strong LAN and WAN experience

* Ability to work on Network hardware ports and routers

* Experience of working within DNS/DHCP in the past is desirable

Start date for the IT Field Engineer is ASAP

This is a field based role so will require a driving licence.

The IT Field Engineer will be responsible for:

* Managing and prioritising technical support workload

* Provide technical support to other sites as part of a distributed Helpdesk service.

* Installing new hardware and software for users as instructed

* Undertaking basic administration of PBX and cloud based phone system. (Training will be given).

* Updating & maintaining asset register of ICT hardware.

* Carrying out network audits such as asset location and security checks.

* Ensure that all software installations comply with the End User License Agreements.

* Escalating unresolved issues to other teams and senior members of the IT team
