IT Infrastructure and Security Engineer – Nottingham / Hybrid
Up to to £45k plus bonus & excellent benefits

This leading organisation based in Nottingham are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Security Engineer, to join a national business who are investing heavily into their IT Infrastructure. This IT role will be to protect the IT infrastructure (Including network, hardware, and software) from malicious attacks whilst being the primary escalation point for all IT related information security events.
 
As the IT Security Engineer, it will be your requirement to identify and prevent cyber risks, plan for disaster recovery and create contingency plans in the event of any security breach. This role would suit an IT Infrastructure Engineer with at least 12 months experience in an IT security position and who has a passion for Cyber Security. This role will be based out of Nottingham with 2 days expected to work in the office.
 
The following skills & experience are required:

Excellent all round IT Infrastructure experience
Excellent knowledge of security technologies and threats
Information Security principles and best practices including ISO 27001
Network and application firewalls, host intrusion prevention and anti-virus
Understanding of cyber security risks and an ability to manage these
IP Network architecture and technology experience
In-depth understanding of IT security issues and challenges
Any relevant qualifications are desirable would be highly desirable.
