IT Infrastructure Manager

Reports to: Director of IT
Location: Derby
Salary: Up to £45k + Benefits
Type: 37 hours per week

We're looking for a technical authority for the IT Infrastructure team overseeing all technical infrastructure work as part of an ambitious digital transformation strategy.

Role Purpose

Delivering a digital transformation strategy within a small team of technical colleagues under the leadership of the Director of IT
To achieve a reliable and resilient enterprise architecture in servers, storage and platforms as well as networking and Wi-Fi.Role Duties

The design, deployment and operational maintenance of the physical and virtual server estate
Microsoft 365 tenancy administration, business systems such as finance and HR, and curriculum delivery technology
Working as part of an already established IT team
You will provide a modern infrastructure with a cloud-priority focus to enable the exciting delivery of digital transformation.
You will be asked to contribute to reports regarding cyber security, operational and developmental works, design and improve the infrastructure estate, whilst continuing to complete service desk requests and act as a senior point of technical escalationRequirements

You are an experienced systems and platforms administrator of storage area networks
Experience in virtualisation technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V
Conversant with Microsoft 365, MS Defender and purview and Microsoft hosted applications
A rounded knowledge of firewall and identity access management systems with a specific knowledge of Active Directory.
