Job Description

IT MAC Engineer – 3 months – Edinburgh – £(Apply online only) per day – Inside IR35

An experienced MAC Support Engineer / MAC Deskside Support Analyst is sought for an initial 3-month contract with a client based in their Head Office in Edinburgh. Due to ongoing internal projects, there have been an increase in pressure on the Service Desk and the client need additional resource to support their clients.

The Responsibilities: 

Provisioning of end-user services, including help desk and technical support services
Ensure that all requests from users are logged, updated, and closed in line with operational level agreements
Perform all information systems operations activities, including checking error logs, verifying integrity of systems, performing disaster recovery drills, and maintaining operations logs
Install, configure, and deploy computer system hardware and software including but not limited to operating system and application software
Installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end user hardware, software, and peripheral devices
Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access right
Practice asset management for IT hardware, software, and equipment 

Skills required are a blend of: 

Have experience working as a MAC Support Engineer / MAC Deskside Support Analyst providing phone, email and deskside support
Management over a MacOS Environment (M1/M2 Chips and Intel)
Know the difference between Intel and M1, know how to access Libraries/Caches, basic System Preferences knowledge, keybinds/shortcuts, common issues, Boot from other devices)
Experience with a Cloud management system (JumpCloud)
Provisioning new users through AD, JumpCloud, Google, Synergist, Slack and Zoom
Experience in mobile devices (iOS,Android) iPad Pro’s
Service Conference rooms (Barco ClickShare)
Manage Microsoft Teams (Teams admin)
Manage Azure AD
Physical Servicing of Servers
Mimecast for any caught emails
Google Admin Console management for users
Google Drive management for permissions
Security FOBs (Net2) and Camera monitoring
Bin/Bash Scripting for remote installs through JumpCloud
Firewall/VPN management
Anti-Virus experience with SentinelOne – Blocks a lot of software that is False Positive
Remote desktop support (users all over) (SplashTop, Zoho, TeamViewer)
User management of Confluence JIRA
Service desk experience
