IT Estates Manager – Field Based Role

The It Manager Role
The IT Estate Manager role is to coordinate and provide appropriate assistance and customer support to end users in regard to changes to their branch and office infrastructure and location.
It Manager Duties & Responsibilities
* Manage IT Estate MACs within ITIL frameworks
* Manage external vendors for MAC activity with the IT Estate
* Routinely visit all offices within the IT Estate and ensure accuracy of Asset Register, and liaise with Head of IT Operations over any issues or concerns.
* Ensure that physical cabling (i.e. RJ-45 Ethernet jacks, RJ-11 telephone modem jacks, connectors between PCs and servers, etc.) are in proper working order in all locations
* Provide local on-site engineer assistance at the direction of the IT Service Desk when appropriate.
* Work with IT Projects and IT operations teams on relevant deployments and projects to implement new hardware and software into the desktop services environment as needed
* To support, operation & control of all equipment within the IT network/desktop infrastructure
* To provide technical support; answering support queries either onsite, via phone/email
Ideal It Manager Candidates:
* Experience in WAN and LAN deployments, installation and configuration of telephone systems, and cabling infrastructures.
* Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
* Self-motivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
* Ability to conduct research into PC issues and products as required.
* Effective interpersonal skills and relationship-building skills.
* Strong written and oral communication skills.
* Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
* Understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
* Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
* Strong customer-service orientation.
* Good documentation, intercommunications, problem solving, and analysis skills are essential.
