Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for an IT Manager to join us at our newly renovated and stylish head office in Harrogate town centre.  Playing a vital role in our continued growth and development. Your flexible approach, strong communication and excellent relationship skills will see you thrive in this varied and fast paced role.  The IT Manager role is to maintain infrastructure technologies to drive strategy, security, support, scalability, value, and resilience to maximise technical and commercial opportunities for Jigsaw.  It’s an exciting time to be joining Jigsaw Insurance, as we continue to expand the team and provide a range of products and services to in excess of 200,000 customers. 

The Role 

Delivering IT Services to internal and external customers, including; Service Strategy, Design, Transition, Operations and Continual Service improvement. This is to ensure the availability of systems and services essential to a 24/7 operation
Change management – Responsibilities for the business’s change process, ensuring changes are delivered following an approved scope, in budget and on time.
3rd Party product ownership – Responsible for product ownership of systems supplied by 3rd parties, ensuring services are delivered in alignment with associated contracts and business requirements 

The Candidate 

Our IT department plays a vital role in our continued growth and development. Your flexible approach, strong communication and excellent relationship skills will see you thrive in this varied and fast paced role
You will work on a variety of projects to challenging deadlines, so you will need the ability to plan, prioritise and juggle your workload accordingly
You will be a proactive and self-motivated team player with strong IT skills, attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work well under pressure is a must, as well as problem solving abilities and a logical and methodical approach
You will also be an effective communicator, who has a good standard of written communication, empathetic and understanding when dealing with colleagues and customers.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing a technical team
Experience managing outsourced services
Proficient understanding of ITIL processes
Solid understanding of business processes
Agile qualifications
Change management qualifications
