A small but established Consultancy providing Software Products and Consultancy Services to the UK and International property sector now require an experienced IT Manager to join their team.
As IT Manager, a large part of your role will involve management of a small IT team, third party suppliers and working with senior management to define future IT Strategy. Importantly we are looking for someone with practical skills. This role involves working for a small/medium size company so it is expected that you will get involved hands-on occasionally, as and when needed.
Coordinate and facilitate policies / direction on best-practice asset management for IT hardware, software, and equipment.
Assist with the overall business technology planning, providing a current knowledge and future vision of technology and systems.
Analyse the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs today, and in the future.
Coach and mentor the team in relation to methodologies, delivery processes and best practices in order to ensure adoption and consistency.
Lead the process within the business to identify relevant, strategic technology projects.
Develop the IT team and drive performance management.
Working closely with the board to define company policies and ensure compliance.
Acting as project lead on all internal IT and systems related projects.
Managing and providing leadership to the IT team.
Manage all third-party systems and infrastructure providers.
Manage the cyber security plan and mitigating controls to reduce the likelihood of any cyber/security incidents
You should ideally possess experience of the following;
Experience of managing small teams in an SME environment.
Experience of Consultancy firms, ideally not essentially in the Property or Health and Safety sector.
Experience of developing & implementing an IT strategy within a SME type business.
Experience in managing technical teams and outsourced service providers.
Experience of working with and development of cloud based solutions.
Experience around the use and implementation of API solutions.
Experience of Remote App development and management.
Experience of managing and negotiating third party contracts.
Experience of working in a very fast-paced environment.
Demonstrable successful delivery of projects that needed an IT solution.
Managing an Office 365 estate.
The role will suit individuals currently working as IT Manager, Head of IT Software Delivery Manager, Software Project Manager, Head of Development, IT Director and be living within a commutable distance of London, Derby, Cambridge, Oxford, Reading, Birmingham, Nottingham, Luton, Milton Keynes, Guildford, Maidstone, Chelmsford or be willing to relocate.
