IT Manager / Head of IT

We’re looking for an IT Manager / Head of IT to join a thriving software company just outside of Oxford as they continue with their impressive growth plan.

The Role

Working in a newly created position, the IT Manager / Head of IT will have several direct reports and will ultimately be responsible for the infrastructure and internal IT strategy of this rapidly growing business. Leading by example, the IT Manager / Head of IT will remain somewhat hands on and have key technical input to crucial projects and will work closely with teams companywide.

With other responsibilities including the management of anti-virus, firewalls, encryption, and all other security products, developing IT processes and policies, managing integration projects, as well as hiring new talent for the department, this is an excellent opportunity for an IT Manager / Head of IT looking to have a real impact.

What’s Required?

Whilst enthusiasm and a drive to lead the function are key, it is hoped that the successful IT Manager / Head of IT’s technical experience and abilities will include:

Substantial experience in an IT Management role, ideally within a manufacturing environment, overseeing all network connectivity (i.e., VPN connectivity, LAN, and WAN)

Excellent leadership experience, and passion to help develop employees as well as support the senior leadership team

Drive to provide IT excellence to all internal staff, and happy to pitch in wherever needed

Significant experience of integration projects would be especially helpful

Great communication skills for both stakeholder management, building strong team relationships and for guiding and influencing vision

Strong problem-solving skills with the passion and desire to solve difficult technical problems
