The SAP Practice is continuing to grow to meet the future demands of the business. This is an exciting time to join our SAP Practice as we are moving towards a multi-supplier model.
You will be working alongside Srey, within the SAP Service Design & Transition function and will be key in supporting and planning service transitions and service readiness offerings.
You will have autonomy to develop and implement transition planning procedures that will ensure our projects and programmes smoothly move into Business as usual.
You will be responsible for creating the service design and transition documentation to capture the end-to-end service, reflecting the requirements and how they will be met. You will ensure that the solutions for new and changing IT services are secure, resilient, supportable, measurable, and driven by Key Performance Indicators.
Travel and overnight stays may be required.
Person specification
In this role, you will:
Support the design and implementation of effective service transition and service readiness plans; co-ordinating across teams to manage changes coming into live production environment.
Work collaboratively with Change and Service Management teams to maintain, manage, and agree service / operational / change acceptance criteria, defining service requirements including non-functional requirements for all new/changed IT services.
Agree sign-off of Service Acceptance Criteria and Operational Readiness of new and changed services with key stakeholders including service providers to ensure all parties are aligned, aware of their responsibilities and adhere to agreed processes through the lifecycle of the transition and into live service.
Work with Live Service Delivery team to ensure that the stability of the production environment is preserved when new or changed services go live.
Verify that go/no go criteria are met, and risks/exceptions are clearly highlighted, communicated, managed, understood and agreed to by all stakeholders.
Ensure appropriate Service design is considered for new or changed services, with support models defined, agreed, in place and tested for go-live.
Drive continuous process efficiencies and service improvements for technology, people, and process.
Essential Criteria
You will already have knowledge and demonstrable experience of:
Service Management Framework principles and processes of delivering/transitioning services into production, working in an ITIL service environment, driving continuous process efficiencies and improvements.
Leading and creating Service Design and Transition artefacts like Operational Process maps, support models, etc.
Change and Release management including Change Approval Board, Change Control, etc.
Building and maintaining strong, effective, and collaborative stakeholder relationships, using excellent communication skills
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team being adept at planning, problem solving and organising workload to meet deadlines.
Desirable criteria
Ideally you will also have an understanding and experience of:
Project / Service Delivery Lifecycle, delivery methods and tools.
Working with third party suppliers and service providers.
Good understanding of SAP release and service transition processes is a bonus.
ITIL Certification is desirable.
