IT Support 2nd Line Infrastructure

£30k upwards depending on experience
Your working week will be 7 hours per day between 8.30am and 4pm, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility required for ongoing projects.
Monthly patching updates (typically 6 hours on a Sunday once per month – paid at an overtime rate)
Out of core hours Data Centre maintenance (typically 4 hours once per month – paid at an overtime rate)
Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are looking for an experienced 2 Line IT Support Infrastructure person to work alongside and experienced IT team based in Leeds, West Yorkshire.
You will be providing 2nd and occasional 3rd line user support for internal tools and technologies. You will be part of a team that contributes to longer-term technical projects and process improvement.
Providing bespoke IT Support relating to technical issues involving Microsoft’s core business applications and operating systems
Providing basic technical support at network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls and security
Implementing basic remote access solutions and providing support on Citrix
Collaborating with experienced colleagues to build and maintain an Azure cloud platform
Liaising with our IT Development and Business Change teams to ensure newly built technologies can be tested and smoothly implemented into the business
Ensuring any IT support changes required are documented and implemented to ensure we deliver the best performance for the new technology
Monitoring the remote management system alerts and notifications and respond accordingly through service tickets
Managing and maintaining the companies approach to Network Security, including monitoring industry news and ensure all platforms are protected.
Communicating with internal stakeholders as required, keeping them informed of incident progress, as well as notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages
Windows Server 2012
Advanced knowledge of Storage Arrays
Advanced knowledge of LAN/WAN/routers
Firewalls and Security Advanced knowledge (ideally SonicWALL)
Microsoft Azure Platform
