IT Support Engineer
£35,000 – £40,000 + excellent benefits!
Working from home with some travel UK wide.
A new, exciting role for an IT Support Engineer is now available with one of the largest manufacturers and providers of sterilisation and decontamination services in the UK.

This organisation is a global leading manufacturing specialist of medical sterilisation equipment and associated software and Digital Health Solutions, used within both public (NHS) and private hospitals throughout the UK.
Working within such a niche space within the medical and healthcare markets, this company's experienced IT Team of Support Engineers and a IT Support Manager are able to offer extensive training to those with a broad knowledge of IT but who may not have worked within this field before.

Job information – IT Support Engineer
As the IT Support Engineer, also called Application Support Specialist, you will be working within the Digital Health Solutions (DHS) division. This division makes traceability software for sterile services used within hospitals to track and record medical instruments throughout the sterile processing procedure.
As the Applications Specialist you role will be to carry out software installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of issues, providing 1st and 2nd line support (whilst working closely with developers to offer 3rd line support).
Predominantly this role will be working from home offfering remote support via emails, telephone and an online ticketing system. However, UK-wide travel to customer sites (hospitals) will be required averaging approximately 25% of your time.
Applicants living anywhere in the UK would be suitable for this role.
Working hours are Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5pm with a flexible approach to working hours on days where travelling is involved.
You will be expected to take part in a paid on call rota 1 in every 5 weeks, offering remote support, only to "severity 1" issues where a system is not functioning. (where call outs of this nature are rare).
Experience required – IT Support Engineer
Broad IT knowledge including experience with networking, SQL, MS windows server (2012 onwards).
Able to communicate at all levels
Quick to learn
An ability to jump into any situation with confidence.
Good problem solving skills
Full UK drivers licence
Ideally, experience in an IT Support role in a "time critical" environment e.g. manufacturing software support, financial system/software support, military software/IT support.
Package/benefits include:
Salary – £35-40,000
Paid on call (1 in 5 weeks) – £2,400/year.
