IT Support Assistant
An exciting opportunity for an IT Support Assistant to join a successful business and European market leading in Shoeburyness, Essex. Our client specialises in domestic and industrial cleaning products and is proud to be family orientated business. Main responsibilities for the successful IT Support Assistant:
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, agile, and dynamic with the confidence to provide a technical support and general administration on a day-to-day basis:
* Supporting office and production staff with resolving incidents and service requests as well as liaising with external support.
* General troubleshooting, support & deployment of end user hardware (PC's, Printers, Laptops, Mobile devices etc.).
* General troubleshooting, support & deployment of end user software (Microsoft 365, Adobe suite, ERP, Workforce Management, Payroll etc.).
* Ensuring that all cases are logged on our helpdesk system.
* Helping to maintain Network security and integrity by supporting areas of the company’s network including switches, routers, WIFI access points, cabling and VPN’s.
* Create and maintain documentation of underlying processes, services, and systems as well as user guides for staff where required.
* Helping to maintain the asset management list and carrying out ad-hoc IT related tasks as required.
* Problem solving on a wide range of technical issues, both remotely and face-to-face.
Main requirements for the successful IT Support Assistant:
* Ability to focus and solve problems is essential to complete the day to day demands.
* Excellent communicator and strong work ethics
* Experience of working within an IT support role (minimum 2 year).
* Experience working with relevant end user hardware, Microsoft operating systems, M365 and its full array of office suites.
* Experience supporting users face-to-face and remotely in a desktop environment and knowledge of computer networking systems.
* Knowledge of TCP/IP, Networking, IT Security, Telecoms and ERP systems will be beneficial but not essential.
* Ensure adherence to all instructional and Health & Safety guidelines for the use of equipment in order to maintain a safe work environment.
What we offer to the successful IT Support Assistant
* Salary of £25000- £30000 per annum
* Monday to Friday ( 08:30-17:00) – Office based.
