IT Support Engineer
IT Support Engineer – Up to £200pd – 4 to 6 Months – Kent Based – November / December start – Drivers License required
My client, a large, Kent based MSP, are looking for an IT Support Engineer (Sometimes called a Field Services Engineer, 2nd Line Support Engineer or Onsite Engineer), to work on a number of implementation, migration and upgrade projects for a group of new clients based around Kent (Mainly Maidstone and Medway towns).
You will be receiving and handling requests for a wide range of IT support from my client's customers and will respond to requests in order to help in the delivery of projects. You will Investigate complex issues to resolution, maintain records and create procedures. You will provide technical support on projects, assist with mentoring and training of less experienced team members where needed and may be required to lead on project delivery within your own skill set.
Providing advice to customers on systems, products and services which are available to them.
Responding to requests for support remotely or on customer sites, resolving Incidents and requests as appropriate.
Promptly allocate unresolved calls to appropriate team, keeping the customer informed of actions taken.
Managing project requests including detailed call notes of all steps taken to resolution.
For all products, services and systems within the area of responsibility, you will demonstrate, install and commission desk-top systems and their routine upgrades.
Provides information on updates, known errors, changes in availability, new facilities etc.This role is a contract role with a rate, inside IR35, of up to £200 per day. The role will last a minimum of 4 months, starting from November or December and successful candidates will require a drivers licence and an ability to travel to client sites around the county of Kent.
