IT Support Engineer
Salary: Up to £33,000.00 per year

Whilst we are the outsourced IT department for the small and medium size business we often refer to ourselves as a customer service business that does IT.
We have a great opportunity that would suit someone who is looking for the support and mentoring of a managed service provider but only focussing on supporting one client network. Our client based in Dorchester is a manufacturing company and we are looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer to provide both onsite and remote support to around 60 users.
This role will provide a variety of support and project based work so would ideally suit someone who likes to get involved in all aspects of IT. This person will also take a proactive approach to asset tracking, managing current IT stock whilst providing excellent customer support to all users.
The role will be based at the client site and where required you will perform remote support to home workers. You will be the first point of contact to all support tickets and have the backup of Prodigy who will provide a point of technical escalation, sickness and holiday cover for the management of the network.
There is already a helpdesk ticketing system in place with proactive remote and support tools allowing this person to come in and hit the ground running just focusing on operational support.
The client offers a nice working environment with great facilities including onsite free parking. Full training will be provided on key systems during the induction and handover with the current support engineer. Due to the location of the client you will need your own transport.

For this IT Support role, you will need excellent customer service skills, be well organized, and have worked in a similar dedicated IT role with some of the following experience.
* Windows Server 2016/2019/2022- Hyper V / Virtualization
* Remote Desktop Services / FS Logix
* Server Clusters / SAN
* Office 365 including Exchange, SharePoint & Teams, Conditional access
* WatchGuard Firewall / Ubiquiti Switches / Access Points
* Windows 10/11/ Apple Mac & MS Office range specifically MS Access
* Asset tracking
* Ideally both project & IT support experience
