Due to recent expansion, a successful manufacturing company based in Accrington are looking for an IT Support Technician to join them on a permanent basis. Joining the UK IT Support function, the successful candidate will provide 2nd and 3rd line support remotely across multiple sites.

The company is offering hybrid working options, wherein you will be required to work in the office 3 days a week with the option to work from home 2 days per week. There will be occasional travel to different UK sites so a driving licence is preferred but not essential.

The successful applicant will be responsible to provide support and resolution to IT issues and requests at the desk side, via phone, via email, or via other support technologies provided for that purpose. Working in a team of 3 and reporting to the Head of IT, the successful applicant will provide 2nd and 3rd line support to end-users to ensure technical efficiency throughout the business.

The company is currently in the process of various IT projects so you will have the opportunity to be involved in these alongside the support aspect of the role.

Skills / Experience required:

In depth knowledge of Windows Servers 2008 onwards and Windows 10/11 Operating Systems
Understanding and configuration of Active Directory, Azure AD, DNS, DHCP
Office 365 administration / configuration including Exchange, OneDrive, Teams & SharePoint.
Network administration experience – LAN/WAN, WiFi etc.
An understanding of ERPs (desirable)
A proactive approach to work and strong communication skills.
