Reporting to the Technical Director, the IT Systems Administrator will provide IT support to the company’s equipment including the servers, services, network and laptops etc. and to colleagues to ensure their IT requirements are met, working alongside specialist support services and suppliers. Your responsibilities in more detail are:
Providing guidance and training to employees.
Diagnosing and resolving IT issues encountered by colleagues as they arise.
Proactively monitoring server and system logs to identify potential issues before they affect business function.
Managing the IT process for on/offboarding of staff.
Facilitating end-user hardware assignment, including the configuration and installation of desktops, laptops, mobile devices etc.
Keeping the IT equipment register up to date with hardware assignments.
Ensure that all changes to passwords, files, configurations etc. are documented sufficiently
Working with the Technical Director, participate in planning and implementing projects and changes to the systems
The successful applicant is likely to be degree level educated in an IT discipline with previous experience of IT and or networking support. You will have high standards of time keeping and prioritisation skills as well as knowledge of networking infrastructure and implementation. Microsoft or Cisco Experience in server or database maintenance would be advantageous, but you will certainly have excellent communication skills both verbal and written. You should be able to work as part of a team or independently, be organised but also flexible with the ability to approach different types of tasks.
