We have a fantastic opportunity for a Systems Engineer to join one of the North East's leading IT & Communication companies at their office in Aberdeen.
 
As a Systems Engineer you will be responsible for delivering excellent technical support to customers and you duties will include;
 
-Install, configure and troubleshoot servers, workstations and infrastructure
-Be familiar with support and configuration of Cloud environments (Azure or AWS)
-Have a good understanding of networking and TCP-IP
-Implement best practices for security in line with CE+ and/or ISO27002
-Monitor and maintain backup, continuity and disaster recovery systems
-Manage and optimise O365 E-mail environment, SharePoint and Apps
-Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel
 
To be successful in this role, you should have in depth technical experience and have an awareness of emerging technologies and best practice solutions to common problems.   You will also have strong knowledge of the principles and processes of infrastructure design, implementation and support.  Candidates must also have a good knowledge of information technology and computer software and be comfortable working within the processes and tasks described in the ITIL framework.  Strong communication and problem solving skills are essential for this role.
