IT Systems & Network Engineer

Location: Stonehouse (Hybrid Home/ Office Working)

Salary: £35k (Flexibility for the right candidate) + Pensions + 25 day holidays + Cycle to work + benefits

The Role:

Our client are looking for an IT Systems & Network Engineer to join their IT team based at their office in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire.

Responsibilities:

Responding to the IT needs of the Company.
The general maintenance and upkeep of the IT infrastructure, including, Monitoring of systems, Preventative maintenance, Updating of systems.
Installation and configuration of new and existing systems and mobile devices.
Planning and execution of any required infrastructure changes with IT management.
Supporting applications and liaise with third parties support processes. Using Helpdesk to support local and remote users.
Respond to tickets in a timely manner and keep all parties informed on remediation of issues. Any problems with tickets to be raised with IT Systems Manager or in their absence, IT Director.
Updating of Firewalls and Security Appliances to ensure they are patched and up to date as appropriate.
Vulnerability management in line with the company’s Management Policy using tools such as Tenable.io, ManageEngine and Appguard etc.

Essential Requirements:

Previous Experience in similar role
A thorough knowledge of Windows server environments – Active Directory, Group Policies,
DNS, certificate management and signing is essential CA server and macro signing and application signing.
Experience in VPN management, firewall technologies and network routing.
Knowledge of Networking and Security and audit experience for Cyber essentials and pen testing.

Desirable:

Any of Network+ / Security+ , CCNA, Checkpoint Admin certification
Exposure to linux environments.
