Job Description

IT Technician | Cardiff | Monday to Friday | Usual hours of work will be 07:30-16:00 | £22,000-£25,000

Computerworld Wales is an independent company, serving both Private and Public Sector organisations in Wales and South West England since 1993.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed individual to work in one of the schools for which they provide IT services.

Are you the right person for us?

A good knowledge of working within a school environment
Have a good general IT knowledge, the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
You will be required to undergo DBS Enhanced clearance
Any ability to speak Welsh would be a bonus, but not a requirement
Show a flexible attitude that is required in a modern school
IT Skills Required: the ability to support and troubleshoot:

Windows 10
Office 2019/365
Active Directory
Group Policy
AV equipment/Interactive displays
Any exposure to application deployment is also a bonus
Any exposure to virtualisation technologies is a bonus
What will your role as an IT Technician look like?

Configure and install new hardware as required
Asset tag and maintain asset list of IT equipment
Setting up of laptops, projectors, interactive screens etc. as required
Deployment of software and images as required, with the help of the central support team
Maintain user and computer accounts, as well as Office 365 accounts
Maintain printers/copiers on-site in partnership with the school print provider
