Job Description

We are looking for an IT Technician to join an independent school in the Hammersmith area. Is this you? This outstanding school is looking to expand its IT team to help expand the learning potential of digital applications and resources. The salary for this role is up to £34,000, depending on your experience.

Role Overview

Your responsibilities will include providing a high level of technical support, helping to manage and provide school IT systems, and assisting staff in using such systems to help students learn.

Responsibilities:

Providing daily IT support to students, teachers and support staff across the school.
Installing end-user hardware, such as desktops, laptops, tablets, cabling, printers, AV equipment, and peripherals, and implementing and managing departmental software.
Maintaining basic IT equipment safety, such as securing trailing cables.
Integrating and maintaining computer management systems like Microsoft's SCCM and print management systems like PaperCut.
Manage AV and IT equipment for school assemblies and other school events and lettings, and prepare guest speakers and other speakers in advance.
Carrying out basic routines to check the status of PC suites and individual computers.
Provides support and advice regarding hardware, applications, operating systems, and security procedures related to the school's ICT networks.Essential Qualifications and Experience:

Working in a previous IT support position within a school or education setting.
Hold a relevant IT degree or equivalent qualifications.
Impeccable written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Windows PCs, laptops, and Google GSuite.
Having knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, Exchange Online, Windows Server and client software.
An understanding of the audiovisual equipment in teaching rooms, such as data projectors, interactive whiteboards, and digital screens.Person Specification:
