A leading Independent IT Infrastructure and Services Consultancy are looking for an ITSM (Remedy) Development Manager for a 2-year contract, based in Hatfield (Hybrid)

The Development Manager will lead the Development and Implementation teams on a day-to-day basis on all aspects of system ownership including the maintenance and support as well as development and implementation of changes to the Remedy ITSM platform and integrated end user portal .
A key goal for the Toolsuite is to deliver a set of tools – under-pinned by ITIL principles – that enable the client to deliver, measure, manage and improve the infrastructure support services provided to customers.

Objectives
Day-to-day system responsibility for all matters related to the Remedy ITSM platform and portal which would include support, enhancements, patching, security testing and remediation and implementation of configuration changes.
Management of Developers and Consultants in delivering support and maintenance for Remedy ITSM platform and portal.
Leading a development team to deliver to agreed specifications. From design all the way through to production deployment and manage any cross-team dependencies.
Lead a team of consultants to support on-going application requirements for a wide existing customer base on a shared platform.
Takes full responsibility to ensure all activities in the team are completed to the required standards and expected levels of quality and adhering to team and department processes.
Developing and maintaining team resource plans and produce management reports as required.
Facilitate discussions between Business Analysts, Development lead, Test leads to deliver to the agreed outcome. Resolve conflicts and issues in an objective and effective manner.
Project progress reporting, Risk and Issue tracking and resolution.

Required Experience
Have at least 7 years working within an commercial IT services environment (ideally within an ITIL services environment)
Have at least 7 years in leading, managing a teams to deliver application development and integration projects
Have been a project/development manager for an application project, delivered to (or within) a medium to large size company. Such a project will have been at least 3 months in duration.
Have experience of Service management tools such as BMC ITSM, HP Service Manager, Service now or similar tools would be advantageous.
Have at least 5 years in producing and managing resource plans.
Be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the IT application development lifecycle.
Be highly organised, meticulous, structured, and methodical in delivery.
Be able to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation.
Be able to drive and influence others in both IS and the business to deliver to schedule.
Take full ownership of both technical and business issues.
