Junior Cybersecurity Analyst – Blandford Forum – £25,000 to £30,000 + Shift Allowance

We are on the hunt for a number of Junior Cybersecurity Analysts to join a key client of ours based in South Dorset, you'll be working as part of a growing team of professionals within a supportive and technically interesting company.

The SOC operates on a shift working basis, 4 days on 4 days off, alternating between early, late and night shifts one after another. I.E, 4 day shifts then 4 evening shifts, then 4 night shifts and so on.

Requirements of the Role:

A passion for cybersecurity and an interest in IT
Excellent IT skills, including knowledge of computer networks, operating systems, software, hardware and security
An understanding of the cyber security risks associated with various technologies and ways to manage them
Working knowledge of various security technologies such as network and application firewalls, host intrusion prevention and anti-virus
Analytical and problem-solving skills
An understanding of platforms such as Elasticsearch, Kibana, Microsoft Azure Sentinel and Splunk
Ability to achieve and hold Active Security Clearance
Responsibilities:

Monitor, triage and investigate security alerts to identify incidents and perform analysis of security event data to support a response, reporting or escalation where necessary
Carry out proactive threat hunting
Support the design and development of automated monitoring processes
Keep up to date with the latest security and technology developments
Evaluate emerging cyber security threats and ways to detect/manage them.
Generate reports for both technical and non-technical staff
An ability to work under pressure, particularly when dealing with threats
