Lead Engineer (PHP)

Hybrid – 2 days a month in the office| £65,000 a year

Yolk Recruitment is currently working on an exciting opportunity for a Lead Engineer to join a rapidly growing tech company in Somerset. As a Technical Lead, you'll be responsible for developing high-quality code and leading a team of skilled developers. The role is a 50/50 split between leadership and hands on technical.

This is what you'll be doing:

Writing high-quality code across all layers of the company's SaaS products
Mentoring and coaching team members in clean code, refactoring, and TDD practices
Collaborating with the CTO and Product Manager to document high-level designs for new products and features
Working closely with the CTO and DevOps Engineer to define strategy and promote technical excellence

The experience you'll bring to the team:

Over 5+ years of experience of Laravel or Symfony
Excellent knowledge of software architecture and design patterns
Proficient at writing clean code and refactoring mercilessly
Familiarity with front-end frameworks, perfect React
