The client in question is a very well-established Global leading Software company with international offices and a strong foothold in the marketplace. They are looking for a Lead Frontend Engineer to head up their exciting new team and get hands-on in shaping the platform of tomorrow, from high-performance search to data modelling.

As the Lead Engineer for the newly formed business unit, you will be a key driving force in the software engineering team to help build and scale technology to meet demands. You will be responsible for establishing technical ownership of the UI systems, including the partner and developer-centric websites, the world-leading internal products and applications. Your skills and experience will be critical in its continued design, implementation, and delivery, and your broad knowledge of the latest tools and best practices will enable you to take decisions for the platform's front-end design and architecture.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Frontend Software Development and be confident using the latest Frontend Technologies such React, TypeScript and JavaScript. You will also have a strong focus on UI design and leading a successful team with a drive for succession in not only the team but building the platform of tomorrow.

The Role:
*Hands-on ownership of a new team working on the next generation platform.
*Design, implement, and deliver complex front-end software systems using React.js and other front-end frameworks.
*Overcome performance, reliability, and usability issues and ensure the 24/7 availability of the platform.

The Person:
*Experienced in using the latest Frontend Technologies (React, TypeScript JavaScript)
*Strong Frontend UI experience
*Background focused in Software Development
*Experience in Leading a successful & driven team
*Commutable to Cambridge
