Are you a Senior/Lead Golang Backend Engineer that loves coding, and being part of a collaborative team in a growing, global brand?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Golang Backend Engineer to be part of the team designing, building, and maintaining products and services, for a retailer with a presence in over 40 countries around the world.

You will be a Golang SME and be able to scope and deliver a range of projects. You should be confident in offering strategic input into process improvements, and be able to contribute towards product development, ensuring your team's work is of the highest quality.

As the Lead Golang Backend Engineer, you will get the opportunity to work across the following technologies: Golang, Google Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, CockroachDB and more.

The successful Lead Golang Backend Engineer will have experience:

Leading a team of Backend Engineers
Working as part of a remote team
Architecting and delivering large-scale solutions with a distributed micro-service architecture
Utilising the 12 Factor App to design solutions
Architecting & delivering solutions that utilise REST APIs
Running cloud-native micro-services in GCP Kubernetes
Using GraphQL
Developing with cloud technologies (GCP)
Designing and delivering applications utilising Relational and NoSQL database systems 

This Lead Golang Backend Engineer role comes with a salary of between £70,000 – £90,000, as well as a generous benefits package that includes, but isn’t limited to:

Profit-based bonus
