Job Description

We are hiring for a Lead Operations Technician in a permanent role. Work for a multination technology company, emerging applications, and power the 4th Industry Revolution, creating a platform that enables businesses to leverage their data and adopt next-generation technologies.
What You Will Be Doing as a Lead Operations Technician
* Be the customer technical advocate and strive to provide a positive and professional experience irrespective of expertise, history, or workload
* Collaborate within the team and across teams
* Lead training and assisting wider NOC staff
* Shadow and help train new team members
* Help improve customers' experience
* Take a primary support role in the development and launch of new products and technologies
* Develop expert knowledge in a small number of key subject areas
* Communicate effectively with managers, customers, and vendors
Required Qualifications and Skills
* Bachelor's degree in a related operational or technology field or equivalent experience
* Understanding of IP networking
* 5 years in a security operations environment as a security engineer
* Certification or equivalent enterprise in security technologies such as Fortinet and VMWare
* Demonstrated understanding of Denial-of-Service concepts, attack vectors and mitigation options
* Demonstrated understanding of cloud security, SASE, SaaS, Edge Compute and Edge gateway services
* Demonstrated proficiency in routing and network skills including
* Troubleshoot BGP and community strings
* Review and analyse packet captures
* Understand and can modify policies/prefix lists on multiple router platforms
* Security and network industry certifications
* Knowledge and skill in at least one programming language
* Experience working on data/IP networks within an operational environment
* Experience in SDN and SDWAN technologies, specifically Vera software
* Demonstrate experience in indecent Management and Service Operations
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Professional problem-solving skills
* Attention to detail
* Organisation skills
