Lead Simulation Engineer
£70,000 – £100,000 + Stock options
Oxford – 2 days a week in the office is the ideal, potentially negotiable

Do you want to help solve real-world problems with Artificial Intelligence?

Through their revolutionary control technology, my client sees huge potential in implementing AI capabilities in industries such as Steel, Glass, and Cement manufacturing, as well as robotic systems such as industrial arms, drones and sub-sea UAVs.

This exciting high-tech start-up is looking for a Lead Simulation Engineer to take ownership of their physics and AI engines, this role has every intention of leading to a Head of Simulation role in the future.

Working closely with AI Application Engineers, you’ll design Physics APIs to support the development of AI training environments, and expand both the existing physics engines, as well as develop frameworks for future markets.

As the Lead Simulation Engineer, you will implement mathematical models of real-world physical systems. Develop our core physics engines and reference models (e.g., aerodynamic, mechanical, industrial processes), with focus on computational performance.

For this Lead Simulation Engineer role, these things excite us:

Experience in at least one of: games programming, digital twin development, or physical simulation
A skilled software architect with strong algorithm design/complexity understanding, as well as API design experience
Strong mathematical skills – vector calculus, linear algebra, 3D geometry
Strong numerical techniques understanding – differential equation solvers, numerical integration schemes, statistical sampling, finite element methods
Great programming skills in C++, and knowledge in Python or higher-level languages
Ability to produce visualisation tools that support game engines
But this is just one version of our dream Lead Simulation Engineer, if you think you can bring value to the team, we want to hear from you.

The successful Lead Simulation Engineer will be joining a collaborative environment at a company heading into Series A funding.

Salary up to £100k, based on experience and skills
