    Job Description

    Mainframe Consultant
    Initial 6-month contract role
    Remote working
    £400-£500 per day, Outside IR35

    ECS Resource Group are currently working with a market leading Technology and Services provider, assisting them with the search for a Mainframe Consultant to join their team.

    As a Mainframe Consultant, you will be responsible for:

    -Designing, developing, documenting, and implementing new programs, as well as enhancements and modifications of existing software.
    -Evaluate, design, code and test improvement as required to complex modules.
    -Assist and troubleshoot current Mainframe environment.

    Proven skills and experience to help succeed in this role include:

    -Knowledge of FDR archive backup/restore.
    -CA-Disk knowledge is essential as we convert from CA-Disk batch to FDR batch.
    -Solid JCL and dataset (GDG/VSAM) knowledge.
    -Some storage knowledge (SMS).
