NAV Support Analyst – Microsoft Dynamics

6 month FTC

Due to large scale growth my client , one of the worlds world's largest supplier of hops and hop products are currently recruiting a NAV Support Analyst on an initial six month FTC .

You will manage and progress existing development tickets with my clients Nav partner, and to propose and manage new modifications.

Daily Tasks

The primary part of the role is to take over existing development tickets and actively progress them. This will require liaising with end user and our Nav partner to ensure the solution meets requirements. Testing, training, and rollout into the live Nav database and end users will also be required.

My client has an ongoing programme of improvement of its Nav 2018 installation. For new modifications there is a requirement to

Engage with end user to understand their needs.
Formulate a documented proposal that clearly describes the issue and proposed solution.
Obtain a quote.
Order the modification.
Carry out testing and feedback bugs until the development lifecycle is complete and the modification is ready for deployment.
Train users and document if required.The secondary part of this role is to provide day-to-day support for up to 40 Navision 2018 and Mobile Nav end users. They will provide the solution, hands on training and where appropriate create written documentation to enable future users to overcome or avoid this issue in the future.

For issues that are not readily fixable they will log and escalate issues to our Nav partner, The Nav People. They will actively manage the tickets and liaise with both end users and our Nav partner. They will assist with testing any proposed solution with users until the ticket is closed.

Essential skills:

1 – 2 years of Nav 2018 or similar end user support.
A working knowledge of SQL server and SSMS.
A working knowledge of using the Nav dev client to diagnose issues.
Excellent to communications skills and be able to communicate with end users, IT staff and our Nav partner's developer staff effectively and clearly
