Job Description

Network Analyst

Salary – £34,000 to £39,000 depending on experience (Plus Bonus, Plus pension)

Location – Cannock, Staffordshire with flexible and hybrid working

Hours – Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

What will you be doing?

As a Network analyst you will be responsible for monitoring the Veolia UK and Ireland voice and data network, analysing problems, performing troubleshooting and incident response on the system, communicating with 3rd party suppliers, site technicians, and tracking problems through to resolution.

The Network Analyst will report directly to the Technical Communications Manager and will play a pivotal role in supporting the UK and Ireland Business network support.

Monitor, troubleshoot, and track all network issues.

Assist in the development of departmental processes, maintaining and improving on the ISO/IEC 20000 and ITIL levels of quality already achieved.

Develop and implement measures for the proactive and reactive monitoring of network and voice services, report against and to troubleshoot areas of poor performance and identify effective solutions for their remediation using the range of available tools, Solarwinds, Cisco DNA and more.

Ensure the Communications team supports the successful delivery of business projects and BAU support, whilst adhering to SLA targets and management escalation, proactively monitoring the Veolia UK and Ireland Network systems.

Through a process of continuous monitoring and measuring to identify areas of strength and opportunities for development and report recommendations for improvement to the Infrastructure Principle.

Define, monitor, measure and report quantitative and qualitative metrics for the objective assessment of service standards and seek opportunities for their improvement.
What are we looking for?

ITIL Foundation.

One or more certificates in : CCNA, CCNP, CCSA, AWS Practitioner or Solutions Architect.

Appropriate level of technical experience working with network and voice/UCaaS technologies.

Experience of managing and delivering services using the latest industry technologies, SDWAN networks, Cisco LAN/DNA, Checkpoint firewalls, Meraki Wireless networks, AWS Cloud based services – its network service configuration and such functionality.

Practical experience of ITSM service tools, implementing and employing the principles of ITIL Service Management framework and its complementary quality standard ISO/IEC 20000.

Driving licence – would be beneficial as some site visits are required.
