Role: NOC Engineer

Role:

This role is part of the ICT Services division, providing ICT Delivery services to both internal and

external customers.

This role will assist in technical pre-sales, formal scoping, design, deployment and support for

Networking technologies. Due to the wide-ranging portfolio it is assumed that the person undertaking

this role would have a core understanding of key Networking and Firewall technologies and has the

ability to assist with the pre-sales and implementation of these technology's to new and existing

clients.

Technical projects will require ownership while working closely with the Project management team to

deliver high levels of service and to ensure customer satisfaction. You will need to have strong

communication and multi-tasking skills to ensure your able to manage workloads and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting our Pre-sales consultants in creation of client proposals and High-Level Designs.
Upon approval, create a detailed low-level design, Scope of Works and Service Technical
Architecture document whilst meeting the original proposal and cost objectives.
Take technical ownership of allocated client work, ensuring a high technical standard and that
relevant stakeholders and communication promptly and professionally.
Upon project completion and/or closure, there may be a requirement to provide hand-over
training to the respective client teams around your technical delivery.
In addition, you would be required to provide detailed configuration documentation as part of
the BAU hand-over process.
On occasion, you may be required to assist and support with high-level technical support
issues, supporting the Organisation's internal Service Desk team.
Responsible for communication and issue resolution to customer stakeholders.
Participate, as required, in working groups, committee meetings, senior executive meetings
and other such events.
Any other associated tasks as requiredTechnical Requirements

Three years' experience in an IT Delivery, or an IT Engineering role.
Experience with delivering customer requirements and/or technical projects.
The ability to create technical documentation for project deployment and of a quality that can
be presented to a client for approval.
Knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals, IP subnetting, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP)
Experience with FortiGate Firewalls
Experience with HP Aruba Switching
Aruba WiFi
Experience with Cisco Meraki WiFi
Experience with MPLS, point to point, VPN, and SDWAN solutions
Understanding of cloud-based networking principles
CCNP level certification
