Durham Network Engineer £48-£53,000 + Benefits
Our client is a major services business undertaking an enterprise wide infrastructure transformation. This role sits within the IT department and reports to the Networks & Group Service Manager. You will be responsible for designing and implementing network services across the data, voice and security platforms.

The role is broadly focussed and you will manage a variety of data, security and voice network products and services. You'll also have worked with critical network infrastructure within enterprise scale datacentres. The environment is an Infrastructure as Code (IaC) environment with Terraform and the successful candidate will be comfortable working with different cloud services, including Azure, OCI and AWS. A key part of the role is setting up routing protocols, and you will be a certified CCNA (Routing & Switching and/or Data Centre) and have experience supporting wired and wireless networks. There is ongoing project work around firewall administration with the ability to identify areas where security can be improved and keep up to date with ever-changing cyber-threats.
The successful candidate will be have a solid grounding in Networking in a complex environment and have demonstrable knowledge of load balancing and an awareness of SIP trunking and IP telephony platforms along with a good understanding of ITIL best practice.
