Job Description

Job Title: PHP Developer

Salary: £40,000 – £60,000 per annum

Employment: Full-time, Office based

Location: Chigwell, Essex

The Job:

A London-based agency specialising in the processing of DBS Checks seeks a PHP Developer to join their close-knit team in Chigwell, Essex. As a PHP developer, you will work closely with a small team on projects ranging from anything from minor HTML/CSS changes to full-scale development of cloud-based dashboard suites.

The main aim is to maintain, update and upgrade their website, cloud dashboard and CRM, be a lead on projects and support business growth. The team pride themselves on having a relaxed environment and culture, being accommodating to personal situations and travel troubles, building great relationships with all their staff, having an open-door policy, and working from a cosy countryside office.

The PHP Developer will take responsibility for:

Design and develop scalable and maintainable solutions using PHP

*

Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code

*

Work on a combination of projects/tasks, from minor HTML/CSS changes to full-scale development of cloud-based dashboard suites.

*

Collaborate with the team to analyse and refine requirements and design solutions

*

Troubleshoot and debug issues as needed

*

Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the PHP ecosystem and recommend improvements as needed

*

Oversee the development work carried out by an existing external support team of developers

*

Lead on how projects are to be developed and deployed, including full testing procedures

As PHP Developer, you'll have:

*

4+ years of experience as a PHP developer

*

Strong proficiency in PHP and MySQL

*

Proficiency in HTML, CSS, CRON, API, CodeIgniter Framework, WordPress

*

Ability to accurately work with large datasets

*

Knowledge of Ajax would be beneficial

*

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

*

CRM or e-commerce development if preferable, although not essential.
