Job Description

Join a national award-winning non-profit organisation that's committed to improving maternal and paternal care. They provide clinical software solutions to over 100 hospital trusts in the UK and maternity units in an increasing number of countries abroad.

As a developer specialising in PHP, you'll be responsible for leading projects, reviewing code, developing new product features, fixing bugs, and optimising code performance and quality. You'll also work with third-party suppliers and system integrators to maintain and develop new APIs and integrations.

We're looking for someone with 2+ years of experience working with PHP and Laravel or other frameworks, as well as knowledge of SQL. You should be able to work with the PI Infrastructure team and take technical direction while also bringing your own ideas to the table.

We offer a highly competitive salary up to £50k and a great benefits package, including a 4-day working week, hybrid working (2 days in the office, 2 days at home), 25 days' annual leave, company pension, flexible working, and death in service benefit. Responsibilities:

Review current code and ensure adherence to coding standards
Lead projects and take initiative
Develop new product features, fix bugs, and optimize code performance and quality
Work with third-party suppliers and system integrators, maintaining existing and developing new APIs and integrations
Understand how Information Governance requirements should be implemented to ensure security of data
Work with the technical team to create development documentation and implement best coding practices
Coordinate software priorities and maintain a record of software project statuses
Be responsible for the deployment and release process for PI software productsAs a senior developer, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring that our clinical software solutions meet the highest standards of quality and functionality.
