Job Description
The Role: PHP Developer
Salary: 35k – 40k
Location: Leicester (Office based)
Working hours: Monday to Friday 9am – 5.30pm
Are you an experienced PHP Developer looking for a new position? We have an exciting opportunity for you here at our head office in Leicester. You will have sole responsibility of utilising and maintaining our current bespoke internal software system and you will develop bolt on’s that will enhance it moving forward. The position is yours to own!
What will I be doing when I start as your PHP Developer?
Maintenance of our current internal bespoke software system.
Assimilate information from multi-departments, producing easy to review and trackable changes and maintain effective communications will all key stakeholders (internally and externally)
Provide advice and assistance with cross Company IT requirements.
Regularly review feedback from system users and maintain an effective and timely development schedule to ensure ongoing system.
Consistently seek to identify/review scripts/codes to effect streamlining of work process to reduce inefficiencies and/or increase efficiency and productivity across the business.
Develop and maintain user friendly interfaces, focusing on ease of use from all levels.
Create client portals to develop the brand and enhance our reputation.
Development of our system including at ‘live’ tracking and in line with Departmental needs to ensure continued evolution of the system.
Establish effective working relationships with the Management Team, hosting monthly meetings to ensure pre-agreed goals are being worked towards and met.
Develop the IT role and find ways to make it more integral to the businessIdeal PHP Developer:
You will have knowledge of the following: PHP, PHPStorm, Symfony2, MySQL, Linux, Apache, Nginx, YouTrack, GitHub. JavaScript, LAMP, PHPUnit and Git,
Experience in version control systems and a good understanding of web application security and testing.
Passion of open-source technology
Programming experience, ideally in PHP Experience in/understanding of object-orientated design and patterns Experience in creating database driven applications.Benefits of working for us a PHP Developer:
