A Data Analytics Automotive business is searching for an AWS Engineer highly skilled in AWS/Serverless who will be designing, developing, and deploying serverless applications on the AWS cloud platform.
The company itself are renowned in the industry for increasing road safety, and improving driving behaviour, making driving safer. You’ll support the growth of their Data product, which uses cutting-edge data science, machine learning and data modelling capabilities to analyse and provide insights into the data.
What’s more, it’s built using serverless technologies and microservice APIs coupled with modern software engineering practices and principles.
This is a fully remote role however they have offices in the US, UK and Europe.
An ideal candidate will have demonstrable years of experience working with the full AWS Suite, ideally from a software development background. You will be eager to learn and grow in a Data driven business.
A day in the life
As a Platform Engineer, you will have a number of responsibilities. None more so important than building the DevOps toolchain and automating operational processes as needed. You will lead on delivering solutions and microservices associated with the deployment of their platform, as well as developing and maintaining integration with other tools.
Design and implement serverless architectures using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, and other AWS services
Develop and deploy serverless applications on AWS using the Serverless Framework, AWS SAM, or other serverless deployment tools
Demonstrable experience in a similar position (Serverless Engineer/Platform Engineer)
Strong experience with the AWS Suite; Serverless, Lambda, Step Function, API Gateway, Route 53, ECS, Fargate, S3
Experience with CloudFormation/Terraform
Strong programming skills in one or more of the following languages: Node.js, Python, Java, or Go
Good understanding of cloud architecture patterns, microservices, and containerization
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI
