Location: UK Based Only (Hybrid)

Salary: £76,000 – £95,000 plus benefits – Pension scheme (employer 6% with employee contributions of 2%) 25 days holiday plus UK public holidays, Life assurance and death in service cover and much more

SF Recruitment has partnered up with a leading digital consultancy-based company who have a 10-year history of delivering AI driven, data & digital solutions for the public sector. We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Test Engineer to work in a multi-disciplinary squad that builds, supports, and maintains user centred digital solutions.

As a Principal Test Engineer, you will be operating at the highest consultancy level within the Quality Assurance/Testing professional. You will work with clients to ensure full testing solutions such as test strategies,test plans and test delivery are fully scoped to ensure the overall solution meets clients’ requirements. 

You will be an expert around automation testing including developing automation frameworks from scratch, Ideally using .NET or Java and have cloud experience.

Responsibilities:

You will act as a leader to the testing team providing mentoring and coaching
Scope out testing requirements with clients
Manage and work in multi-disciplinary squads including vendors
Deliver a high level of quality in testing, reporting and key metrics
Provide test strategies and detailed test plans for the delivery of testing on projects
Manage client expectations and advise on the right way to apply testing standards, methods and ensure compliance
Deliver high quality testing services across an array of different projects and using different technology stacks
Maintain client relationships and troubleshoot issues through collaboration
Skills Required:

Setting out testing standards and defining strategies
Line management experience 
Tools: .NET or Java and cloud
Client facing experience
Strong Automation experience
This is a hands-on testing role and developing and upskilling others will be key to the role. You will lead testing communities so strong communication is essential!
